HYPER X & FFVII DIGITAL DISPLAY
for TIME SQUARE

9iFX was stoked to work with some in game cut scenes and our own in house renders of Hyper X’s Cloud Flight headset.

BRAND: HYPER X & SQUARE ENIX

As huge fans of the original Final Fantasy VII game, working on this campaign was an absolute dream come true. We created original renders of the headset and then edited them together with original cut scenes from the game for this massive seven screen digital display ad that ran in Time Square for several weeks in early 2021.

CONCEPT

9iFX was tasked with creating a slick render of Hyper X’s Cloud Flight headset and then pairing it with pre-rendered cut scenes from the first installment of the Final Fantasy VII Remake.

PROCESS

We started by modeling out the headset using provided samples as examples to work from. Then, we took on the task of wading through the hours of in game footage that was provided to us by the incredibly talented game makers at Square Enix and selecting some of our favorite takes.

CONCLUSION

Once we had the game footage selected and the head set renders complete, we put the two together and resized the project to fit the seven massive screens that it it would be displayed on. We also created a more common aspect ratio version for YouTube.

Along with the larger digital display, we created this smaller version for YouTube.
