for Airware brand films

Over a 4-year tenure, 9iFX worked closely with Airware to build an extensive library of UI/motion design-driven brand films and high resolution stills. This content was utilized across digital marketing and social platforms to showcase Airware’s enterprise drones and data services. We emulated their platform’s user interfaces and simulated future-facing UI concepts to explore use cases in surveying, road building, mining, and appraising, among others.

CONCEPT

Each industry vertical has unique applications for drone technology, and Airware needed to demonstrate the value of their proprietary solution for each one. Traditional field documentaries were insufficient to showcase and explain Airware’s data services workflow, from collection to visualization and insight identification. Our objective was to create the data visualization and motion graphics required to narrate these stories.

PROCESS

Airware handed us raw footage from construction sites, real estate properties, mines, quarries, etc. and we immersed ourselves in the content to establish contextual background. Then we worked with their engineers and developers to map out the user journey for each industry. And finally we composited the relevant technical data and animated user interfaces into the provided plates.

CONCLUSION

By the end of this series of projects we had become experts in orthophotography and digital terrain models. This was necessary to distill Airware’s software features and data analytics into information that is easy to understand for any audience, yet also specific to professionals in the niche sectors that Airware services. The result was a body of work that is both educational and visually engaging.
